Join the City of Soap Lake Salary Commission

The City of Soap Lake is seeking community members to serve on the Salary Commission. This citizen-led commission plays an important role in reviewing and setting salaries for elected officials, helping ensure transparency, fairness, and fiscal responsibility in city government.

Commission Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing salary information for elected officials

  • Evaluating comparable city data

  • Adopting salary schedules in accordance with state law

  • Serving the public interest with integrity and independence

Who Can Serve:

  • Must be a registered voter residing within the City of Soap Lake

  • Cannot be a city employee, elected official, or immediate family member of one

  • An interest in public service and good governance is encouraged
