City Utilities
The City of Soap Lake utility bill covers Water, Sewer, and Garbage services. Utility bills are mailed and can be paid at City Hall, over the phone, or you can go paperless by signing up for online bill payment below. The following links include information on the senior garbage pick-up calendar, the recent utility rate study, and the water, sewer, and garbage application.

The City of Soap Lake City Council has approved an adjustment to water and sewer utility rates by City Council Resolution.
Effective Date: April 5, 2026
Rate Adjustments
Water Rates: Increase of 3.5%
Residential base rate: $61.78 per month (includes first 500 cubic feet)
Overage: $3.59 per additional 100 cubic feet
Sewer Rates: Increase of 5.0%
Residential sewer service: $109.71 per month per dwelling unit
These adjustments help maintain reliable water and sewer services, address rising operational costs, and support infrastructure improvements.

Garbage Rate Increase Notice
The Soap Lake City Council has approved a resolution increasing garbage collection rates to reflect rising operating costs and continued service delivery.
The new rates will become effective May 5, 2026, and will appear on the next applicable utility billing cycle.
The adjustment represents an overall 4.0% increase to current garbage service rates.
Examples of updated residential monthly rates:
64-gallon cart (weekly service): $30.40
64-gallon cart senior rate (every other week): $19.99
96-gallon cart (weekly service): $41.78
